Vivek Vardhini Education society- Inception 1907

Vivek Vardhini Education Society took birth as an institution in the year 1907 under the able and visionary leadership of an eminent educationist and social reformer of his times the Late Shri. S.D.Satwalekar.The society, which emerged as a brainchild of an elite group of Marathi intelligentsia in the erstwhile Nizam state of Hyderabad in the early 20th century was built on the pillars of indigenous wisdom, courageous conviction, noble ideals and a deep sense of philanthropic commitment towards providing top class education to the then minority Marathi community.

Vivek Vardhini Education Society is located in a spacious campus spanning 4.8 acres donated by Philanthropists belonging to the Marathi community. Beginning with a humble primary school the society today has grown into a huge group of 20 institutions offering education right from the KG to the PG level. The year 2007 is of special significance to the Society as it marks the beginning of the centenary celebrations of this great legacy.

The society today runs both Day and Evening colleges through 3 media of communication i.e. English, Marathi and Telugu to make education accessible to every section of society. A wide assortment of courses ranging from traditional, vocational to professional both at the undergraduate and the postgraduate level are offered by the education society. Quality education at affordable cost is the key strength of the society, which has seen it sustain and grow into a formidable institution over the last century in the midst of stringent competition.

The School of Business Management, Vivek Vardhini College had its inception in the year 2003.It is the newest entrant to the Vivek Vardhini Education Society

The School of Business Management offers a two-year full time programme of Masters in Business Administration, affiliated to Osmania University and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. The School has been set up with the aim of providing quality education par excellence in the field of Management with special emphasis towards the development of the Marathi community of the country.

The School of Business Management is located in a serene campus spanning 2.5 acres in the heart of the city of Hyderabad at Jambagh very close to the Koti bus stop. The School of Business Management is located on a three floor block with a total built up area of 12,000sq ft. Beginning with a modest intake of 40 students and 2 teachers in 2003 the School today has about 120 students and a team of more than half a dozen highly qualified and competent faculty with rich experience across various areas in Management. Continuing on the golden path of its Alma Mater the School of Business Management has grown by leaps and bounds in the years that followed striving to provide unmatched quality of education in the field of professional management thus making the lamp of enlightened knowledge continue to shine ever more brightly.
